Where We Go (Judea and Samaria)

Carpenters for Christ
Carpenters for Christ is a volunteer construction team built up of Harvester’s members that serves in our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and Ends of the Earth. They are part of Harvester’s missions ministry and serve in multiple capacities according to the needs of our missions partners each year. We are currently expanding the Carpenters team to include families and those gifted with with evangelism to go in both word and deed. Everyone is welcome!

Christian Activity Center
The purpose of the CAC in East St. Louis is to embrace childhood and secure successful futures for children. The CAC is an after-school center in the Samuel Gompers Housing Projects, which provides a safe Christ-centered environment for kids. They are looking for volunteers to help with tutoring, recreation, technology, choir, Bible study, etc. There are many opportunities all throughout the week to serve. For more information, visit www.cacesl.org.

Restore St. Louis
This network of Christian ministries desires to show God’s love to the poor, widows, orphans, immigrants, and refugees of St. Louis. A number of churches gather every second Saturday of the month to go out and serve different areas of St. Louis by repairing homes, visiting the elderly, doing yardwork, and tutoring children. For more information, visit restorestlouis.org.

International Students
We have partnered with an organization at Lindenwood University called ISI that works with Lindenwood’s 750 international students. We pack them welcome bags, help with transportation, provide special activities for them, and attend their weekly meetings. They have a great program that allows us to become friendship partners through which we can “adopt” a student for the year. A friendship partner spends time with their student monthly and can even house them for the holidays. For more information, visit isionline.org.

Haiti Disaster Relief
Following the terrible earthquake in Haiti, we have decided to take some disaster relief teams to Port-au-Prince. We understand the great physical needs and openness to the gospel message when people are broken and in need. We are communicating with our contacts in Port-au-Prince and will likely be taking some construction and community development teams. Please be patient as we identify how we can help care for the Hatian people.
